The 5-year-old African giant rat called “Magawa” is used to detect mines and explosives in Cambodia.

Now, a British charity called “People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals” has awarded him a gold medal for “Lifesaving bravery and devotion to duty.”

Over the last four years, the rat has reportedly sniffed out 39 land mines and 28 pieces of unexploded ordinance.
