Beverly Mumo was living with her father in Mlolongo, Machakos County, when she died suddenly on August 24.

For three years, Robinson Musyoki and Naomi Kiamba had been in and out of court, each seeking to have sole custody of their Beverly. They separated in 2017.

A report filed at Mlolongo police station says the girl had complained of chest pains as she was taken to Mater Hospital in Nairobi, where she died.
