The main barrier to communication is that understanding, the second is a language barrier. Everybody who speaks if the language is different then the information won't be understood and doesn't reach out to the intended audience. Noisy background is also a great influencer because for example a teacher is educating his students near a busy factory then the noise being heard from the factory will disable the functioning and teaching causing some students to be left out.
