We like to hide our pain behind jokes, humor and sarcasm. Many times, when you interrogate the laughter; you will see fear, torment and brokenness... some have perfected the art of cracking jokes and commenting with humour online especially when the topic hits close home... but there is nothing funny about the pain they wish to take away.
May you not hide behind manufactured happiness, may you not use jokes as a crutch or illusion, may you not watch comedy as a drug to numb you from your hurt, may you not go to events and pretend a fake laugh and fake fun only to break down and weep when you are all by yourself...
